Electric Candle
I see a lot of homes with one white candle lit in each window (electric candle). Even in the garage windows.?
This is not for the holidays. This pratice goes on year round mainly in surburban or country areas. I've heard this is some sort of comunication symbol used by a restricted organzition. (political maybe). Anybody know? ( I've never seen this pratice in urban areas)
Burning a candle in the window goes back as far as there were candles and windows. The reasons are as varied as the people who display them. Some folks use them for bringing good, some for repelling evil and some for plain decoration. White candles are a symbol for purity, honesty, sincerity.
