i want to build a 6x6 interior measurement room how many cinder blocks would i need?
all 4 walls need to be built plus i would like any suggestions on how to do a concrete ceiling right now the only ceiling that would be in the room is 2x6 beams
no doors 7 foot high ceiling and standard sized blocks
ok say i want a hole in it for a door can anyone give me a sorta step by step into doing that
you say you're building a room. is this indoors. do you have enough room that you could use 8 in. blocks...i would use 6 in. block but then you get into 14 in. cuts and 2 in. plugs on your corners to keep bond. any doors? how high...little more info please?
edit...you should need 200 block . if you snap your chalk lines at 871/4 in. sq. and lay your blocks to the chalk line you will end up at your 6 ft inside measurement...you will have a hard time getting whole block at 871/4 so make it 88 in. sq. and your inside measurement will be 6 ft3/4 in... 10 courses high will get you 80 in. if you really need the 7 ft. height , run a course of 4 in. solids around the top course...
