How do you make a soap that is made from coconut or fruit?
How do you make a soap that is made from coconut or fruit? No oils, but just made from. Like a paper is made from tree trunk and so on. It's my experiment for student-directed proposal at school that I have to do it with my groupmates. I can't find it in the internet because they all say coconut oil and shop shippings. There's no recipe for the soap. I mean a soap made from coconut like for example:
The coconut's milk is nourished that it was made into a soap.
Something like that. I mean not the coconut milk, not sure of that yet. Please help me. It's for my science. I have to pass that earlier. It will be shown at the Science Fair on September. We have a lot of weeks to do some experiments. Soap that is made from coconut or fruit! Like a soap is made from strawberry or etc!

To actually make the soap, you must use oils and lye unless you buy a melt-and-pour glycerin base. When you add the lye which has been dissolved in water to the oil, it will go through a process to become soap. You can use coconut oil but you should add some olive oil or other oil because coconut oil alone would produce a soap that drys your skin out too much. After the soap has begun to process you can add pretty much anything you like. Grated coconut might be a good exfoliant, crushed strawberries are astringent. You can search the soap-making sites to see what fruit has what properties to decide which you want to add, but you must use the oils and lye first to produce the actual soap. Anything else is just and additive.
