How to get blue crayon marking off a tapestry over a century old?
My 2.5 yr old daughter who has autism has climbed up on the couch to reach a tapestry I inherited from my mother that she bought in Italy that was woven over a century ago! It's a gorgeous tapestry with a picture of a garden with ladies in big flowing gowns and a gentlemen playing a flute for them like it's set in France in the 1700s or something. Well, my daughter decided to take a blue crayon and color over all their faces! I have no idea how to get the crayon off without ruining the tapestry! Any ideas?
i know to get out candle wax you heat up an iron and then place a dish towel over the wax then press. the heat will melt the wax and the towel will absorb it. you could try that with the crayon since that is wax as well. im just not one hundred percent positive that it still wont leave a stain.
